The Kidonomics Series (TKS)
The Kidonomics Series is written for children 0-7 years old. It teaches children the basics of economics and finance. The stories relate to your child’s everyday experience. Through these adventures your child will understand:
the difference between wants and needs
that choices have to be made
how to make a decision
how to save
how to work with a budget and
how to spend wisely
There are fun Suggested Activities at the end of each book which gives children an opportunity to practice the lessons from the story.
Shopping Adventure, teaches the difference between a want and a need. The book emphasizes that choices have to be made and how to make a decision.
Summer Fun, teaches all the principles of how to save.
The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, teaches the basics of having a budget and how to use it wisely.
About the Author
Dr. M holds a PhD in Economics and has spent over a decade teaching economics and finance. She also has a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. In addition to lecturing at University of Toronto and being a full time financial consultant, Dr. M keeps busy with her two daughters. They were the inspiration for The Kidonomics Series which teaches children the fundamental economic skills for establishing a strong financial base.
